How it started
Ro Rodriguez began shooting local artists performing live at various venues back in 2007. With a passion for the music, she
would capture the vivid essence on stage of many performing artists and one band in particular, Beverly, inspired her to
make herself vulnerable to people's criticism and admiration for her "eye." After working with so many artists, she then
expanded her options to shooting those artists' loved ones, memories and life.
What makes Ro, "Ro"
Unlike the majority of photographers, Ro has never taken a photography class. Every time her clients are informed of this,
they seem astounded by the professional results. The work you see displayed on this site has been shot in AUTO mode and
retouched by Photoshop 7.0, which she taught herself by simply clicking many buttons! Ro Rodriguez sees beauty in
everything and her passion for this art is to share what her eyes see with the world.
Experience
Ro has shot and worked with many artists (to name a few: Paramore, Powerman5000, Keeping Secrets). She has had some
of her work published on Skratch and Casoré magazines and also displayed some of her favorite images at local Art Walks.
She too has worked on private events such as the "Summer Soire" hosted by the OC/Beverly Housewives. However, she is
open to shooting anything and everything that captures a moment in life permanently for many years to come.
Why Photography?
Many people ask "Why photography?" Memories and emotions come to life in images; happiness, warmth, friendships and
love. All of which can be lived again by this visual art. Ro Rodriguez wishes nothing but to make people indulge in
reminiscence and smile. Her love and admiration for life is reflected in her work.
